Business Transactions - negotiate, structure and consummate various transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures, dissolutions, mergers and reorganizations.  Advise clients regarding various issues arising in their day-to-day operations.

Commercial Transactions - represent and advise clients in the negotiation, documentation, and implementation of diverse array of agreements covering, for example, technology development, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, operating and distribution arrangements, franchises, leases, employment, consulting, construction, licensing, reselling, service, and use arrangements

Real Property Transactions - negotiate and draft option agreements, development agreements, purchase agreements and commercial and residential leases, handle conveyancing to ultimate purchasers, complete Land Court registrations, escrow and title matters, adverse possession and quiet title actions.


PUC Representation -- represent clients in rate-setting, certificate of public convenience and necessity, certificate of authority, certificate of registration and other administrative proceedings of the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, as well as in appeals of administrative decisions.

Compliance Matters -- represent, assist and advise clients with respect to compliance with applicable federal and state statutes and regulations.


Regulatory Matters - appear before government agencies and administrative boards on a wide range of governmental matters, involving land use, licensing, telecommunications, transportation, electric and gas utilities, and the environment.

Legislation -- work with the executive and legislative branches to prepare new legislation, monitor proposed changes in law before state and local legislative branches and administrative agencies and advise in legislative matters.


Formation - advise and assist in the preparation of documents for the formation of corporations, partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies and in the compliance with (or exemption from) requirements for qualification to do business in Hawaii by out-of-state businesses and regarding procurement of permits and licenses.

Business Operations
- advise and assist in compliance with applicable regulations and Hawaii's corporation, limited liability company and partnership laws.



Employment-Based Immigration
- represent foreign investors, traders and entrepreneurs, multinational companies seeking to bring employees to the U.S., and U.S. and foreign companies seeking to employ foreign workers to fulfill a specific business need, as well as individuals seeking to work for a U.S. employer.

Immigration of Family Members
-- represent family members seeking to immigrate to the U.S. based upon a family relationship to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
